Recycling is the basis of life and of art; I try to dramatize this in my selection of materials — beer cans, plastic bags, newspapers and the collage elements, magazines, brochures and other advertising media. These materials are cultural artifacts, my work attempts to evoke exactly that response. Weaving is a form of meditation as well as a useful transition from one medium to another. Whenever it works, I include words with my art and art with my words.
